A typical investment process will include initial screening, rigorous due diligence, structuring and financing, as well as active involvement in each business following investment.
Initial Screening
Since the launch of its first private equity fund, UFG Private Equity has established a comprehensive initial screening process allowing UFG Private Equity investment experts to filter quality investment targets that correspond to the Fund’s investment strategy and criteria and subsequently can be considered potential investment projects.
Due Diligence
UFG Private Equity believes that a rigorous due diligence process is key to the ability to identify attractive investment opportunities and uncover potential issues that can be either constructively addressed or avoided.
Structuring and Financing
UFG Private Equity believes that availability of prudent leverage in Russia may help generate better returns on equity capital. Before proceeding with an acquisition, UFG Private Equity considers different deal structuring alternatives to achieve an optimal balance.
Post-Transaction
Our input to the business post investment is key to the successful generation of additional value for our clients. UFG Private Equity’s approach is tailored to the unique circumstances of each investment and has included the secondment of professionals into investee companies to help with specific issues.
We take an active role on the boards of our funds’ investee companies. We help management develop a vision for their business, create a strategic plan and monitor the performance of the business against the plan. In addition, we are available to make decisions quickly in response to external events, to support the company’s corporate finance activities and to help develop the senior members of the organisation.
